Early Life of Gyakie
Gyakie was born and raised in Bompso, a surburb of Kumasi where she still reside. She is originally a native of Abuakwa, Kumasi. She is the daughter of the popular Ghanaian high-life legend Ernest ‘Owoahene’ Nana Acheampong well known as Nana Acheampong, one half of the famous Lumba Brothers. She went to TI Amass in Kumasi for her secondary education and also major on International Business at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Gyakie Music Career & Albums
Gyakie had passion for music at a tender age and came through professionally in 2019. She released her debut EP “Seed” in August 2020. The project comprises of 5 solid tracks and full of different sounds. She got her first feature with the high-life sensation, Bisa Kdei on the single “Sor Mi Mu” as released in 2020. Gyakie came to limelight with the single “Never Like This” which was accompanied with a music video. She is managed by FLIP THE MUSIC, are the management that supports her music career despite not signed to a record label. She has performed on different stages across the country such as; Tidal Rave, Rapperholic, Repu Hall Week and so on.

Gyakie is a daughter to popular Ghanaian musician Ernest Acheampong well known in his elements as Nana Acheampong or Champion Lover Boy. He owns the Owoahene Studio, in Suame Kumasi, where he has done his latest recordings with himself as Executive Producer for Owoahene Music. Some of his songs includes Abu aka mesim, Casanova, Kata w'ani te, Deobrenodi, Nipa, Se eye wode, Obibini mu obibini, Ever ready, Odo yarea, Meko odo nkyen, I go die 4 u, Mansusu saa, Ako me square, Brebre Obaahemaa, and Wo wone hwan among others.
It is obvious now that Gyakie grew up around music and her interest in music was likely influenced by his father a very younger age.
