Before the end of episode 1, Adam’s mom came home with Evelyn, Adams’s childhood friend who just arrived from outside the country. They hugged for a moment and looked like they have a lot of things to talk about right away.

Evelyn’s arrival from the States is likely to shake Adam and Olive’s relationship. Adam is getting quite uncomfortable with the idea of Evelyn visiting their school. 3 years ago, he paused the relationship between Evelyn and himself.
Meanwhile, Esther and Archie’s relationship is blooming. Archie’s sisters tried to make her uncomfortable (Esther) but she explained to Archie that it is normal, that’s how most siblings behave. They hung out outside and guess what! They almost K… Lol.
