Bloggers in Ghana play an important role in pushing creatives, especially musicians in the country, however, they are usually overlooked unless they are very popular or close to some industry top dogs.
While this shouldn’t be the case due to their important role in the digital media space, it has become a norm among most creative artistes such that, they disregard the profession and sometimes claim they can’t appreciate a blogger because he/she is unpopular.
John Claude Tamakloe in his line of work has received acknowledgment of work from the likes of Sarkodie, King Promise, Samini, Agbeshie, and Keeny Ice, some of the most amazing musicians in Ghana.

However, other musicians and creatives are willing to spit on your grave and swear they have never seen or heard about you as a blogger even though you work so hard to promote them every day.
In June, the editor-in-chief of BennieWords.Com, John Claude Tamakloe met his untimely death after he was invited by Ghanaian musician “Bless” and his friend KK Fosu. After the demise of this eloquent blogger, the two friends didn’t show up at the burial and one-week celebration of the gentleman.
When they were backlashed by disappointed Ghanaians, family, and friends of the deceased, KK Fosu in an interview with DJ Slim on Hitz FM claimed John Claude Tamakloe was not popular and that his family and friends were only dragging him because they wanted to make him (John Claude) popular while turning Ghanaians against him (KK Fosu).

Abdul Sultan, award-winning blogger and editor-in-chief of 247Hitz Media expressed that KK Fosu’s behavior and later comments on why he was being backlashed for not attending the blogger’s burial should be a wakeup call for all bloggers in Ghana.
“Ghanaian bloggers should know their worth and the kind of people they risk their lives for.”
Abdul Sultan (Award-winning blogger)
Sultan also mentioned that if KK Fosu and Bless were in some other jurisdiction like Nigeria, he would have been canceled by the media for his behavior and utterances after the incident.
Bloggers play a vital role in disseminating information in Ghana and creating awareness. While some unscrupulous bloggers will write just about anything without verification, let’s not look down upon the few who do their job the right way.

KK Fosu later apologized for his undeserving comments to the family and friends of the bereaved and all Ghanaians after he received more backlash from the media and fans.
May the soul of John Claude Tamakloe of BeenieWord.Com rest in power!
