There are many ways you can buy USD in Ghana, but why is it necessary to buy USD while living in Ghana? The Ghana Cedi keeps depreciating YoY while inflation also weakens its purchasing power both in the local and international markets. So it makes a lot of sense to buy some amount of USD as a form of investment or security against the failing economy, whether you are an entrepreneur, a businessman, or just a citizen.
There are three options to do this meticulously:
- Buying USDT on crypto exchanges like Binance and Coinbase
- Buying USDT using MiniPay
- Buying USD (hard currency) from local Forex Bureaus and Banks
The first two options are my most preferred because they are more secured and safe. You can buy your USDT from the comfort of your home or anywhere in the world as long as you have internet and money on your mobile money account. The good thing is the exchange rate is always way better than that of the local forex bureaus and banks, especially when you use Binance P2P.
The third option is a little bit risky, especially when you are dealing with large sums.
Today, I would like us to turn our focus on MiniPay.
