How to Subscribe to MTN Sunday Special

It just a few steps away for your Sunday to get special. Follow the steps below to talk for the whole day for just GH¢1.00.

  1. Make sure you have a minimum balance of GH¢1.00 credit balance.
  2. Open your message application
  3. Type “Start” in the message section
  4. Add “5050” in the recipient section
  5. Hit the send button. Hurray, you have successfully activated the MTN Sunday Special o.

Alternatively, you can use the MTN Sunday Special USSD Code to subscribe to the MTN Sunday Special Offer. Dial *5050# and follow the message prompt on your screen to activate the offer.

  • Promo is open to only prepaid customers.
  • Promo is subscription-based
  • Weekly auto subscription applies and will continue until subscriber decides to unsubscribe or will be automatically unsubscribed due to a low credit balance to support the package.
  • Customer Dials *5050# on the USSD platform to accept the Sunday Special offer.
  • Alternatively, customers can simply send “START” to MTN short code 5050 to accept the offer.
  • Customer sends “STOP” to 5050 to unsubscribe
  • Subscription to the offer is no more limited to Sundays as customers can subscribe to the service on any other day and enjoy the offer on Sunday.
  • Non-promo subscribers enjoy regular MTN tariffs during Sundays.

Specific Business Rule (Option 1)

  • Cost of promo subscription is Ghc1.0
  • Promo subscribers enjoy 20 MB of data, free on-net calls, and SMS until 11:59 pm.
  • Sunday Special offer begins at 00:01 am and expires at 11:59 pm on Sunday and subscribers’ account will be deducted again at mid-night of the next Saturday to enable the customer to enjoy the offer the following Sunday.

Specific Business Rule (Option 2)

  • Cost of promo subscription is 50p
  • Promo subscribers enjoy free on-net calls and SMS until 5:59 pm.
  • Sunday Special offer begins at 00:01 am and expires at 5:59 pm on Sunday and subscribers’ account will be deducted again at mid-night of the next Saturday to enable the customer to enjoy the offer the following Sunday.
