Kobby Major ( born Dennis Beesley Tandoh ) is one of the great hip-hop artists in the Western region, the heart of Ghana. The award-winning rapper had his basic education at Ridge International and then to Ghana Secondary and Technical School popularly known as GSTS. He proceeded to Regent University where read Marketing Management.

Growing up in Takoradi and knowing his call as an emcee from an early age, he developed so fast making him one of the most lyrically gifted artists in the region. His beginning as a rapper saw him on the streets of Takoradi battling equally great emcees while cementing his footprints on the music scene in the region as one of the deadliest lyricists. His aptitude in mind-blowing lyricism has earned him the accolade as one of the true sons of the hip-hop culture. He is inspired by the world acclaimed hip-hop legends like 2pac Shakur, Nas, Notorious Big, Snoop Dogg, DMX, and Lil Wayne.

Kobby Major has three solidified and groundbreaking hip-hop records to his credit. His classics are the exemplar of apt creativity, lyricism, diversity, and versatility. The Barman as he is affectionately called by his cult fanbase, The Major Minds, his debut project I-Kobby Mixtape birthed the actual claim of him being a true hip-hop evangelist. He proceeded with The Unorthodox Tape, a followed up of his debut project which set him apart from his competitors as a genie.

The Unorthodox classic earned him nominations at the Western Music Awards and also won the Best Hip-hop Artiste award at the Western Showbiz Award in 2018. Stonebwoy’s Seven-Year Old “Necessary Evil EP” Is Number Two On Apple Music’s Reggae Album Chart

The project ushered Stonebwoy into the mainstream cementing his stand as one of the youth talents to take over the music scene by storm. VIDEO: Thugs Attack Kelvynboy At Electroland Ghana Branch At Ashaiman.

Ghanaian Afrobeat artiste Kelvin Brown popularly known within the showbiz terrain as Kelvynboy has been attacked by unknown assailants at the launch of Electroland Ghana Limited at Ashaiman.

In a viral video circulating on social, the afrobeat artiste was attached, while he was taking a stroll at the premises of the newly opened Electroland Ghana Limited branch at Ashaiman, by Kelly who is said to be the former manager of Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy. Information from close sources alleged that the two have some squabbles which are yet to be settled.

In a series of tweets, the multiple afrobeat hit maker questioned the perpetrator if the town belongs to them. Some fans of Kelvynboy have linked the attack to Kelvynboy former boss Stonebwoy who is idolized at Ashaiman.

Afrobeats Star Kelvynboy Celebrates Daughter On Her Birthday.

Award-winning Ghanaian Afrobeat star Kelvin Brown popularly known within the walls of the entertainment industry as Kelvynboy for the first time outdoors his beautiful daughter Believe Brown as she turns two years old. The embattled protege of B.E.T award-winning artiste Stonebwoy has kept his family out of the public eye after revealing on interviews that he’s blessed with two beautiful children.

Shatta Wale Throws A Challenge To Producers, Winner Get 2000 Cedis.

Ghanaian international dancehall artiste Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior, who recently made a major move in the dancehall fraternity across the world by headlining the Tropical House Cruises To Jamaica album compilation which featured great evangelists of reggae and dancehall genre like Capleton, Sizzla Kalonji, Tommy Sparta, Morgan Heritage among other notable musicians, has thrown a challenge to Ghanaian music producers.

Multiple awards winning artiste known as 1Don is set to release an album dubbed Gift of God (G.O.G) this year which has local and international features. He has, however, thrown a challenge to Ghanaian producers to send him beats and the lucky one takes home GH¢ 2000 (about $500 ) as a prize for his hard work.

Ghanaian Rap King Sarkodie Back To Ghana With Family After Months Lockdown In USA

Legendary Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo popularly known within the entertainment terrain as Sarkodie has landed safely in Ghana with his family after months of being stuck in the United States of America due to the life-threatening pandemic, Coronavirus which required a total lockdown in most of the affected countries.

Prior to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the rapper traveled to the United States to work on collaborations with international artists as well to spend some time with his family. Central Region Based Musician Queen Haizel Is Reportedly Dead.

Central Music Award-winning songstress Queen Haizel who is based in the Central region is reportedly dead.

The songstress catapulted onto the mainstream upon the release of her monster hit Bravo which competed with many hit singles on charts across the country.

B.E.T Awards Nominations Out! Ghana Is Out Again.

America’s leading award scheme, The Black Entertainment Television (B.E.T.) has released the nominations of the annual awards show. This year’s edition marks the 40th anniversary of Black Entertainment Television as well as the 20th anniversary of the awards scheme meant to celebrate musicians across America, Europe, and other parts of the world. Top Canadian rapper Drizzy Drake is leading with six nominations, Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Rich followed with five nominations. The awards would be telecasted virtually on 29th June 2020, 12 am to 2 am GMT.

However, one particular category which happens to be the most expected and looked out for, being the newly merged Best International Act (formerly known as the Best International Act- Africa and Best International Act – Europe separately) has been released.

UK based artiste of Ghanaian descent Stormzy was also nominated as well as Ninho and S.Pri Noir from France and Dave from the United Kingdom.

The fresh breath in Nigeria music, Rema signed onto the highly rated Mavins Records owned by super producer Don Jazzy also earned a nomination in the viewers choice category.

For the past four years, Ghanaian artistes have been missing out except for Kwesi Arthur who was nominated in 2018 and Sarkodie who always won the Best International Flow at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.
